About Maschinen Ritter
Experience that lasts. Technology that keeps evolving.
Maschinen Ritter – Wickeltechnik has been providing experience and technical expertise in slitting, winding and special-purpose machinery since 1998.
What started as a specialized mechanical engineering company has continuously evolved over the years. Today, our work goes far beyond the repair and overhaul of existing machinery. We provide complete retrofit and modernization solutions, customized machine modifications, automation, machine safety upgrades, machine relocations and long-term technical support for existing equipment.
Technology has changed significantly over the past decades. However, one principle has remained the same:
A good machine does not need to be replaced simply because parts of its technology have become outdated.
Our History
Maschinen Ritter was founded in 1998 and has been working with machinery and equipment for the processing and converting of web-based materials ever since.
For many years, the company was built and shaped by its founder and former Managing Director. During this time, extensive knowledge and experience were gained across a wide range of machines, manufacturers, technologies and production processes.
With the transition to a new generation of management, this knowledge and experience have been carried forward while the company’s focus has continued to develop.
Today, our activities increasingly focus on the modernization and further development of existing machinery. We combine modern control and drive technology, new safety concepts and customized mechanical modifications with decades of practical experience in mechanical engineering and winding technology.
Our former Managing Director remains closely connected to the company and continues to support us with his experience and knowledge. This combination of long-standing expertise and new technical possibilities is an important part of the way we work.
Maschinen Ritter Today
Our core expertise lies in slitting and winding technology and in the modernization of existing production machinery.
We carry out complete retrofit projects as well as targeted partial modernizations. In some cases, a machine is completely rebuilt. In others, the right solution may simply be to replace an obsolete control system, modernize the pneumatic equipment, install a new winding system or upgrade the machine safety concept.
We also develop customized modifications and special solutions, relocate machinery between production sites and support our customers with service, spare parts and technical troubleshooting.
Mechanical engineering, electrical systems, automation and software are not treated as separate disciplines. We look at the machine and the production requirement as a complete system and develop a technically and economically sensible solution around it.
From Projects to Long-Term Partnerships
For many of our customers, our involvement does not end after a single project.
Our aim is to support both the machine and its operator over many years. A relationship may start with a repair, a modification or an initial modernization project. Over time, this often develops into further projects, service assignments, machine relocations or the modernization of additional equipment at other production sites.
As a result, with many long-standing customers we know not only their machines, but also their production processes, requirements and technical development.
This is also how we want to work with new customers.
Our focus is not on a one-time machine sale or a single project. We aim to build relationships in which our customers know, even years later, who to contact when a machine needs to be modified, repaired or modernized.
Preserving Experience. Creating New Possibilities.
After many years in mechanical engineering, we know that not every technical challenge requires a completely new machine.
In many cases, the better solution is to retain proven machinery and combine it with modern technology.
This is why we continuously develop our services – from complete retrofits and partial modernizations to customized modifications and our machine exchange retrofit concept.
Wherever technically appropriate, we use commercially available standard components and technologies with reliable long-term availability. Our aim is not only to solve the immediate task, but to leave our customers with machines that remain maintainable, repairable and adaptable for the future.
